About us

2020 marks Yo!Fest's twelfth edition

Organised by the European Youth Forum since 2009, Yo!Fest acts to support the mobilisation of young people to make change in Europe.

Every year, we provide a platform through which individuals, self-organising movements, grass-roots organisations and established networks come together to tackle youth issues, create solutions and take action for the world young people want to live in, in a creative, fun and vibrant space.

2020 is also the fourth time the Youth Forum teams up with the European Parliament to bring Yo!Fest at the European Youth Event (EYE2020) to Strasbourg, France, and invite more than 10,000 young people to make the next move.

European Youth Forum

“The vision of the European Youth Forum is to be the voice of young people in Europe, where young people are equal citizens and are encouraged and supported to achieve their fullest potential as global citizens.”

The European Youth Forum is the platform of youth organisations in Europe. We represent over 100 youth organisations, which bring together tens of millions of young people from all over Europe.

The Youth Forum works to empower young people to participate actively in society to improve their own lives by representing and advocating their needs and interests and those of their organisations. In the current uncertain political and social context that affects young people, they can be powerful catalysts for positive change and contributors of innovative solutions to Europe’s challenges.

European Parliament

The European Parliament is an important forum for political debate and decision-making at the EU level.

The Members of the European Parliament are directly elected by voters in all Member States to represent people’s interests with regard to EU law-making and to make sure other EU institutions are working democratically.

Every two years, the European Youth Event (EYE) brings together thousands of young people from all over the European Union and beyond to share and shape their ideas on the future of Europe. It is a unique opportunity for youth to meet with decision-makers and other young people at the heart of European democracy.
